The short version
Potato Mode collects no data, has no servers, requires no account, and never transmits anything off your device. Ever.
No data collected
Potato Mode does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. The app has no backend servers, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs.
Screen Time access
Potato Mode uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls framework) to block apps on your device. This permission is handled entirely by iOS and Apple — Potato Mode never sees which apps you select or any usage data. Everything stays on your device.
Local storage only
Any settings you configure — schedules, usage limits, selected apps — are stored locally on your device using iOS's standard UserDefaults and App Groups. This data never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
No third-party services
Potato Mode contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics tools, no crash reporting services, and no social media integrations. There are no third parties involved in any way.
Children's privacy
Potato Mode does not collect any data from any users, including children. The app is safe to use for all ages.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date. Given that we collect no data, we don't anticipate meaningful changes.
